Sometimes...

The Gratitude List is Tough

You know, like I always have a gazzilion things that I know I am really grateful for. But every now and then there is a day where it takes a lot of digging inside to come up with a list. None the less~ I know that I have much to be grateful for even if it takes some digging to get to... so here it goes:

1. Two feet that can carry me anywhere I need to go. There are those who cannot walk.
2. Watching my babies play at the park
3. Having a chat with one of my best friends who I haven't talked to in ages
4. Making a dinner the babies love
5. Love~ God, Friends, Family, even strangers... love is amazing and wonderful

I woke up this morning and had just started my prayers when out of the corner of my eye I caught a flutter~ A butterfly was outside my window fluttering in the sunbeams.
God was talking to me while I prayed to Him
Today's Gratitude List is a little difficult to make, things are not perfect in my little corner of the world. But the bottom line is~ I know God is control and He is going to take care of me.
I sat here, looking at this page and suddenly like a RUSH of FLOOD waters it came to me~ that feeling of gratitude.
I am thankful that I had eyes that could see that butterfly, I am grateful I have arms to wrap around my children, I am grateful my heart knows to ache when someone else is hurting. Just taking amoment to really get into it and think about it~
My gratitude list could go on for days and days.

Yesterday I spent 11 hours in a car, driving to another state to pick up my daughter at the end of her summer visit with her Daddy~ a long hot drive since our car doesn't have an airconditioner. But even so~ there was much to be grateful for. Not just getting my daughter and bringing her home~ but the wonderful flowers we saw blooming on the roadside, the deer grazing, seeing cows and my girls bursting out in "I am cow hear me Moo", squirrels and chipmunks scampering around~ it was such a great day full of so many blessings from the Lord.

Today I was sitting here thinking about my gratitude list~ I am grateful for spending the day, an entire day, with good friends and family, praising and worshiping God. My life is so blessed that I had an entire day where the Lord was the focus, I got to talk about His Grace and the Wonders that He does, listen to music made to glorify Him and eat good food all in the comfort of the shade on a warm summer day.

We had a butiful butterfly dancing around with us most of the day, the symbol of us "New Creations" in Christ Jesus...

It was truly a day to be grateful for and tell God how much we appreciate it ALL He has done in life.

Today I am off to Church, to watch my daughter "perform" with the other 100+ children who attended Vacation Bible School. The children had fun and learned so much~ again the blessings of Lord rain down on me and my family.

Praise The Lord!

PRAISE THE LORD!

Today I am gratituful for so many things in my life! It is truly a day of praise and worship to my Father who created me! I continue to be amazed at the LOVE God shares with me inspite of my faults. It just touches my heart in a way that is healing and teaching me to be more of what God wants me to be.

God's healing hand has been reaching out to me and healing areas of my life step by step and I can feel HIM working in my life, changing me, molding me, filling me with HIM and teaching me to walk in His light only. Grateful for the Healing Hand of God!

I live in a place where I can openly WORSHIP my GOD~ is that not amazing? I live in a place where, although I turned my back on GOD, because of where I live, He was able to keep working on me and working on me to turn me around to face Him and become the person HE wants me to be. Grateful to be a citizen of the United States!

One day in 1999 I found myself homeless~ I never knew at that time how God was going to use this experience. This was the first time He taught me Humility and how to ask for help. There with four children living in a motorhome... He brought me to the doors of Crossroads Ministries. Crossroads has continued to be a part of my life through the years.

Today I am Grateful for Crossroads for the lessons I have learned in humility, not being judgemental, taking account of prideful thoughts and envy, and for the most wonderful bestie a girl could have :) Crossroads is a BLESSING that goes beyond the services they provide to the homeless and low income.

I also want to PRAISE God for the people He has brought into my life! Some of them have harmed me, some of them have blessed me, all of them have taught me. My life would not be the same if even one of these people had not been in my life. I am Grateful that God is in control of who is in my life each day!

I am GRATEFUL for the Blood of Jesus that has washed away my sins and allowed me to have a personal relationship with my Father in Heaven. Praise God that while I was still a sinner He sent His Son to be the sacrafice for my sin. I am Grateful that Jesus has promised that if I ask anything in His name He will do it to GLORIFY Our Father!

Today I am Grateful for the sunrise, sunset, noon day sun, clouds, storms, rain and snow, barren land and meadows in bloom, birds that sing and dogs that bark, cows that give milk and chickens that give eggs, and all the things that God has set under the sun for me to have life! I am grateful for my husband, my children, my friends, my enemies, people of relationships past, people of relationships future... Yes I PRAISE the LORD for all that I have in this life and for those things I do not have that bring Glory to the Father!

Life is awesome and amazing! Think about it~ there are so many things to be grateful for in this beautiful life~ even just our clothes, shoes, the simple things so many of us take for granted.

As you go through your day, think about all we have to be grateful for~ the guy that stops to let us out on to the street, the lady with a cartfull of groceries who lets us with our one item go ahead of her, the young man who holds open the door for us, there are so many little things that we forget to thank God for....

I really want to remember the little things~ they all add up to the big picture. God blesses us in so many ways. All we have to do is sit and think about it for just a few minutes and we can see just how wonderful our lives really are!
